Yep, that’s my much younger self and my little kiddos, back when I was on the other side of the camera for a family photo session that changed my life. Today I had the honor of being a guest blogger for Choosing Wisdom. Lori Jackson writes a beautiful and inspiring blog, dedicated to supporting families and individuals on their journey to find greater joy and purpose. I am grateful I could share my story of how I found my own purpose and passion as a Family and Portrait Photographer. I only hope my journey is meaningful and inspirational to the Choosing Wisdom readers and can help those along their path. You can read it HERE.
Isn’t it amazing what can help us when we’re in despair? Love this!!
I think is really cool that you have shared your story and your personal reasons for being the photographer you are today. Your story had me in tears and I have admiration for your strength in a trying time and how you have utilized it in a way that brings joy, comfort and other goodness to people and families. Thank you for sharing <3
I can’t wait to dig in and read this! Photography, and art in general, can be so healing!
Congrats on the feature and thanks for sharing!
Wow. Tears. I can’t even imagine. My husband survived a heart attack at 33 so this really hits home. So glad you were able to get back in front of the camera and capture these beautiful memories for you and your children.
What a beautiful message, thank you for sharing your personal story. It’s amazing how pouring our heart into something we love, like photography, can help make us feel whole again, giving us purpose. Beautiful work.
How amazing that you are a guest blogger and that you’re sharing your story with the world!
Oh my goodness, I am so sorry you had to go through that, but it’s incredible how that photo session played a part in your healing! That is an incredible connection to your job. I love that you get to bless people with it now. Thanks for sharing!
