The Byrne Family has a family tradition of having their pictures in every season. What a great idea! The only season they didn’t have pictures yet was Winter. So we watched and waited until the right day with the right moment and finally the Colorado snow fell, blanketing the ground so beautifully. But, then it kept coming, and coming (which sometimes happens around here.) In fact, the day before their photo shoot we had a record snow fall. The blanket of snow was a bit deeper than we had planned but just as the sun was setting that evening, the golden light on the snow illuminated the barren trees of Winter for a perfect backdrop. It couldn’t have been more magical. Sometimes we take family pictures as a reminder milestone to remember those moments in our lives, to freeze time. In fact, when we take family pictures, we often don’t realize how important those pictures might mean to us down the road. Sometimes, life’s challenges can become overwhelming and difficult and sometimes, we just need that everyday reminder of why we do what we do. Sometimes it might just be those family pictures we see day in and day out hanging on our walls that remind us to keep going. They inspire us, they motivate us and they bring comfort knowing we are part of something special. I loved working with The Byrnes to create the Winter Wonderland session they had been dreaming about for many years. Check out more of my recent Family Sessions HERE!
